My Dad’s 52nd birthday

An old school friend called Chloé will be coming over for 2 hours before she nips off for South America on a four month trip. I haven’t let someone visit me since Christmas 2007. But I haven’t seen her for well over four years now and although I’ve gone off on crazy adventures myself, I still made sure I had safety nets here and there. She will be alone with her journey companion for all that time… 
Sometime during September:
My best friend Elsa will be coming over for 2 to 3 hours for a scrapbooking session! We’ll be doing it the old fashioned way, like in my Mother’s day, where the main focus was on the photos (not the expensive material people use today) and you add little descriptions and anecdotes next to them, along with brochures or entry tickets you may have picked up during the event. And then perhaps a few sober decorations around the edges if there’s space. But what will probably happen is that after getting out scissors, glue, pens, old Christmas present wrapping paper, and a goûter(1), I will be horizontal on the settee(2) or my bed, while she sits at the table and tells me all about her news.
(1) Un goûter: French noun for mid-afternoon snack. Traditionally consists of Nutella tartines and a glass of orange juice or milk. Generally eaten after coming home from school, as tea time is much later here, 7 or 8pm, instead of around 6pm in England (or it was around that time 10 years ago. 
I don’t know much about today’s English traditions. 
).

you always write longer notes! (yay!) That mouse dragon is actually a silver dragon, they’re the most beautiful dragons ever! (yes) I’ll email you a secret dragon guide!! 
My dad is really close, and he works very hard. There’s too much pressure on him, even though his job pays well… 
He’s resigning at the end of this year, and I’m gonna help him make a website (he’s trying to earn some money online) but I still 
him!! ^_^

oo! that sounds like it’s gonna be an awesome scrapbook! you should definately take pictures when you’re finished. that would be cool to see. and if i ever make another scrapbook/scrap-page, i will take pictures.

Hi Joanna! SO sorry for not visiting you in a long while. As you know I am extremely busy. Huhuhu… T_T And I also didn’t get the chance to say thank you on your birthday greeting for me.
Yeah I really hope things will work out better for me this time. I mean I can’t afford flunking my courses again. The Uni will kick me out for sure. ^^
I’ll try to maintain my site but it seems that I can’t do it at the moment. My workload has increased over the weekend because I just got elected as the Vice President in one of the faculties…*sigh* Oh well, I suppose I’ll just work hard then.
By the way, good luck on the scrapbooking session. I think it must be fun. I wish I have the time to do such things. LOL! Anyways, good luck in it and in everything you do. Thanx for the nice comments you gave me.
