Two Reads That Did Me A World Of Good

I’ve just read two articles by someone I have no idea who they are or what they do but I could completely relate to both topics written about. And I felt like such a weight had been lifted off my shoulders, I couldn’t wait to share this with you.

The first short article I read is called Evolution As Creation. This has nothing to do with how the world began, although it does make me realise even more how incredibly imaginative my Big Dad up there is. Creation here refers to the act of creating in the art world, in any art form. The author explains it better than I do though. I guess that’s why he wrote it and I didn’t.
Something that I thought might have been good mentioning in his article is that he isn’t talking about art thieving, but about creating, not over-inspiring, what we call copying basically, but about being inspired full stop. At least that’s how I understood it. Mind you it is 2:21am in France right now and I’m yawning away.

All in all, I thought the article itself was quite inspiring, so much so that I picked up a pencil and drew, let me see… Nine different sketches on paper. NINE drawings after feeling so empty and idea-less for so long! See what I mean by weights being lifted off my shoulders? But wait until you read the second article.

The second article is called Perfectionaryist. And after reading that, you’ll understand why I’m writing with such enthusiasm now, despite the time and the fact that my nose and toes are freezing without my precious covers over them.
This piece is about writing, although you can apply it to pretty much anything you do I should think.

I do hope you enjoy them as much as I had reading them and sharing my thoughts on them with you.

Now I really must snuggle up in my covers. I have a rather long nose and believe me, it’s harder to cover up and takes longer to warm up than my toes…

God bless you all, sleep well,
Love,
Jo.
