Dear Friends,
Old and newly-met alike you have each inspired me in your unique ways over the past several months, and years for those who I’ve know for quite some time now!
Through your respective websites and work, without knowing it you have encouraged me beyond words. Pixelling, website design, articles, or even just trying to work on quality rather quantity, these areas are some that I haven’t given up hope in, so to speak, and continue being open to learning new things through your example. I also admire the way each of you treat your visitors and friends. I believe it says a great deal about someone the way they treat others.

Thank you for being so kind and patient with me; I don’t get to say it or show it as often as I’d like but I do appreciate it very much.

Many hugs to you all! I hope to continue getting to know each one of you and I hope to be someone you can rely on when needed. From January on-wards things may get a little tough for me as both my parents will be entering a rest home for a month. Perhaps I haven’t explained this to everyone, but to put you in the picture, basically my parents, my sister (25), and I, have Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and Lyme Disease. These illnesses are still not officially recognised in France and it’s a great fight to try and get practical help. This has drained us all a lot. We’ve been given the status of handicapped which is already good progress, but no practical solutions have been offered to us. So we all have to rely on each other a lot to keep our heads above water. Thankfully we have a wonderful family friend who helps us with the cooking, cleaning, washing, shopping, etc..

While my parents are away, although it’s not the first time they go to a rest home, it remains difficult and scary at the same time. We never know if we’re going to cope or not. Telephone messages, important mail, looking after the dogs, medical emergencies… Agh. But our faith keeps us strong, and alive too to be honest. Oh and our dogs too of course. They are wonderful at giving soothing hugs! I truly believe hospitals or at least senior homes (aka “old people’s homes”) should have an animal visit them now and them.

Tommy, our 7 year old male, will be staying with the friend mentioned above. I’m not too happy about it but I know that he’ll be a blessing to that family. He’s great with kids and we’ve trained our dogs to be cuddly and affectionate, so I think he’ll do them all a lot of good.
Ginger, the 3 year old female, will be staying with us as she’s learned how to do her “business” in cat litter on our balcony. I also really really need her around this time of year, which is the reason I got her in the first place.

So that’s what’s going to be going on during January. And I’ll be turning 22 too. So not looking forward to that! Ha! But it does mean another year was given to me, so really I’m grateful. I just don’t like being reminded of how long I’ve been stuck in our apartment. My birthday coincides with my last couple of outings into the “real world”. lol But not to worry, I do plan on picking up my studies again one day. For now, I somehow feel at peace with my situation. I feel like I’m where I’m supposed to be, and that everything is going to be alright. n_n
